who are we?
‘Descendants of the Past’ is a platform curated by Nush that aims to foster community by platforming creatives and their respective media.
We accept a lot of different media formats (check the requirements below) with the direct intention of welcoming underrepresented (and underrated) talent.
Please rest assured that your following/’clout’ will not affect whether you are chosen to be featured on our website or our shows so please do not be afraid to submit anything!

A word from our founder:
‘I chose to start this platform because I feel like our voices aren’t as loud as they could be.
I want to change that.
As a creative, I’m no stranger to the high level of bias that curators can engage in when supposedly ‘representing’ their people - they pick the popular creatives that’ll boost their following. I want to do better.
Despite my platform being relatively new and therefore smaller, I want to amplify marginalised voices as much as I can and I love going through each submission and talking to all of you!
